This paper describes the study on the predicting method of the dry density for the shield concrete. A series of experiments was conducted based on the method considering materials and mix condition variability. The following conclusions can be drawn.
The correlation between the density of fresh concrete and the dry density is high for all concrete materials and mixing conditions. From this result, it can be possible to estimate the dry density of concrete by managing the density of fresh concrete for the actual construction works.
